Medieval age embellishment I once ignorantly thought to be a talisman of a whales tale work by a sailor for safety and protection.Not was I not only so very wrong.I was equally off from it's original place in history and in ancient military weapons.After a lengthy stent of frustrated research, I found this to be the decorative end of a sheath.The hole I thought was for a chain/rope to hold the talisman around the neck actually held a tassel.Only to adorn the end of the dagger/sword like a flaming peacock during mating season. I was disappointed and excited in the fact the artifact finally had a purpose so I could tell it's story. I'm sure some people are out there reading how can this guy actually enjoy doing this.?
